It's been over 6 months since the tragic fires in LA. Let's check in on the California government's rebuilding effort:

Oof. That's rough.

Now, it seems things have gotten worse for the victims of the LA fires, as squatters are now taking up residence on their burned-out lots, and the police are unable to remove them.

Local independent journalist Luke Melchior recently checked out the Palisades and gave this report that squatters are setting up entire campsites, even RVs, on the property of fire victims who are still waiting on permits to rebuild:

It's terrible what's happening to these people. It begins to make more sense when you learn about a proposed bill in California, which will allow the state to buy up these properties to be used for low-income housing.

Here is Melchior explaining:

It would explain why building permits aren't being granted. It seems like California is using the bureaucracy to ice people out of their own property so they can build their Soviet-style slums.

Pray for the people of California. Some of them didn't vote for this.
