That feeling when you're so anti-racist that you transcend the known boundaries of anti-racism and just become a racist:
New York University hosted a whites-only "anti-racism" workshop for public school parents in New York City, barring minorities from a five-months-long seminar that legal experts say was a brazen violation of civil rights law.
One of the nation's premier universities trying to solve racism by first telling minorities:
Maybe it'll work! These institutions of higher education sometimes know things we don't. They're also charging $360 for this workshop, which they say was "designed specifically for white public school parents." Surely once everything is said and done, they'll have solved racism in New York City, or whatever.
But don't worry, there's good reason for barring nonwhite participants from this workshop. As one organizer put it: "People of color are dealing with racism all the time. Like every minute of every day. It's a harm on top of a harm for them to hear our racist thoughts."
We all know how painful it can be when white people transmit their racist thoughts. It's a devastating telepathic experience.
