My firm advice to all criminals who have chosen the path of robbery and thievery: Give up your life of squalid crime and do something more productive and less evil.
But for the love of Pete, if you're going to be an armed robber, don't be stupid enough to think you can do it anywhere in Texas.
A hotel clerk armed with a handgun managed to scare away a robber who was armed with a rifle at a hotel off the Katy Freeway last month, according to the Houston Police Department.
It happened on Jan. 16 around 7 a.m. at a hotel off the Katy Freeway near Highway 6, HPD officials said.
Police said the suspect approached the counter carrying a rifle and demanded money from the cash drawer. As the robber climbed over the counter, the clerk pulled out her own handgun, scaring the suspect and causing him to run away, according to HPD.
"The clerk pulled out her own handgun." Many a Texas robbery has resolved with those fateful words!
And yeah, once the lady pulled out her blaster, our man here decided he did not actually want to rob the hotel:
Dude made an absolute mad dash for that ice machine. Keep running, buddy!
And can we just discuss what the heck the guy is doing with his gun?
