Hunter Biden is suing Rudy Giuliani for "annihilating" his digital privacy after publicizing the sordid contents of his laptop

This kinda seems like a stretch but then again Hunter Biden is never one to shy away from controversy:

Hunter Biden filed a civil lawsuit Tuesday against Rudy Giuliani and his former attorney, claiming they caused "total annihilation" of his digital privacy and violated federal and state computer privacy laws through their alleged efforts to hack his devices.

In the lawsuit filed in federal court in California, Hunter Biden accuses Giuliani and Robert Costello of spending years "hacking into, tampering with, manipulating, copying, disseminating, and generally obsessing over data that they were given that was taken or stolen from" his devices.

A bogus, histrionic, obviously political lawsuit filed barely a year out from the next presidential election?

Everyone to the Biden camp right now:

The idea that Republican operatives "hacked" the laptop that Hunter Biden reportedly surrendered to a computer repairman of his own volition (and then forgot to pick up) is a bit funny, especially considering that he kept pictures and videos of himself doing illegal things all over the place on said laptop.

But you can kind of appreciate the desperation that has to be rampant in the Biden campaign at this point. I mean, even hack left-wing media polls are starting to show Trump pulling significantly ahead of Biden even though Trump's campaign is barely doing anything at this point:

Notably, Hunter is also suing a former Trump White House official, as well as the IRS. He's casting a wide net here. One rather presumes he has nothing else to do at this point. But surely he's doing this with the blessing of his dad's re-election bid, too. You can't escape that.

The suit, meanwhile, "accuses Giuliani and Costello of breaking both federal and California state computer privacy laws and asks for a jury trial in the matter."

If nothing else, a jury trial on this would be absolutely lit. I'd tune in for that.
