Trump, a guy who was inches away from death after an assassination attempt last summer, is responsible for the "political atmosphere" that brought us the assassination of former Speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives, Melissa Hortman, and her husband??
Is Trump also responsible for the assassination of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, as well as the reaction from liberals, who drooled over Luigi Mangione and made a hero out of him? Cuz that's the main reason assassination has become so hot.
Go on and blame Trump, but the assassination culture we now live in actually started to gain steam on July 13, 2024, when Trump was nearly shot dead in Butler, Pennsylvania.
So the only argument Senator Jeff Merkley has here on Trump is that it was the attempt on Trump's life last year that really got us where we are today with all these assassination attempts.
So technically Trump has something to do with it.
