Someone needs to teach this New Yorker what “carpooling” means

A New York woman lost control of her car and drove it through the emergency exit door/wall of a Briarcliff Manor Club Fit.

Both the woman and the vehicle ended up in the facility's pool. Thankfully, no one was in the path of the vehicle when it crashed.

Club members jumped into the pool to get the woman out of the car. She sustained minor injuries from the crash, but how it happened in the first place is still under investigation.

The Briarcliff Manor Club Fit said on their social media that the club would be closed while repairs are made:

The Club Fit Briarcliff Aquatics Center will be closed until further notice. Briarcliff members are welcome to use our Jefferson Valley location. Thank you for your understanding ... We are so incredibly grateful to say that no one was injured as a result of this accident.

The local fire department was assisted by Ossining EMS and police in securing the area and removing the car from the pool. The police department had the best take on the whole bizarre event by far:

While we encourage carpooling, this is not what we had in mind. Have a safe weekend.
