I mean that is just an ASTOUNDING fail. The dude had the wide-open net from like 2 feet away. Not only did he miss the easiest shot in the history of FUTBOL that any 3-or-90-year-old could have made, he managed to trip on the ball while doing so like he was a cartoon character slipping on a banana peel.

Who knows what the announcer was saying but I'd bet it was something like "WHAT A MORON, WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY IMBECILE, HOW ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH DID HE MISS SUCH AN EASY SHOT, MAY HE LIVE THE REST OF HIS LIFE IN SHAME!"

I am told that the poor fool was Dutch player Aster Vranckx. This video clip was tweeted on Saturday so we'll assume it happened then. I have no idea about either of those statements because I don't follow soccer because I'm an American.
