If authorities found 130 truckers who were not compliant with the law in just a few days in rural Oklahoma - many of them illegals - how many more are driving on a road near you?
According to the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC), the public utilities commission for the state, the Department of Public Safety invited ICE agents to help them check the credentials of CDL drivers coming into Beckham County, with a specific emphasis on trucks registered in California.
Why California?
Well, you may recall that an illegal alien from India killed three people in Florida in August while attempting an U-turn. In that case, the driver was somehow licensed in California despite having no authorization to work.
California also has some of the busiest ports in the nation. Fleets of trucks drive eastward daily to carry goods from those ports into the American heartland.
From the OCC's news release on Monday:
In Fiscal Year 2025, more than 5.6 million trucks (Class 5 or higher) entered Oklahoma on a highway intersecting one of its Ports of Entry (POE). In far western Oklahoma, almost 1.4 million trucks crossed the state border between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025, at the Beckham County POE on eastbound I-40 which made it an obvious site for the three-day special enforcement emphasis.
Over those three days last week, DPS and ICE officers identified 130 commercial truckers and took away their licenses "for various violations."
While OCC did not comment specifically on how many of these truckers were in America illegally, it indicated that illegal workers were the primary target.
'There are legitimate concerns with illegal immigrants obtaining CDL's in other jurisdictions,' said Commissioner Brian Bingman. 'The inability to read road signs written in English will lead to accidents. This negligence creates risk for Oklahoma's drivers.'
On August 19th, U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy indicated that the Indian driver who caused the Florida wreck could only understand "2 of 12 verbal questions" and "1 of 4 highway traffic signs" in English.
Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt indicated that states like California and New York, both deeply liberal, are so willfully inept that illegals are procuring commercial truck licenses without names.
If ICE were able to check IDs at every truck stop and port of entry across America today, how many illegal truckers would they find?
