Idaho governor signs bill banning "abortion trafficking" where adults fund or facilitate out-of-state abortions for a minor without parental consent

With nearby states like California advertising their "abortion tourism" industry with billboards and internet campaigns, Idaho has made an unfortunately necessary move to block the "abortion trafficking" industry.

Republican Gov. Brad Little of Idaho signed a bill into law this week which makes "abortion trafficking" – where an adult pays for a minor to kill their child out of state – illegal and punishable by up to five years in prison.

It's a little light for accessory to murder, but it's not a bad start.

Essentially all abortion is illegal in Idaho, but to Gavin Newsom and his Democratic cohorts in the Pacific Northwest, this is seen as an opportunity to expand their abortion market.

While there's not much you can do as a state to prevent an adult from traveling to obtain a life-ending procedure, you can at least protect children from being trafficked out of state.

From Just the News:

Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates condemned the governor's signing of the law, saying "[y]et again, Idaho's governor disregarded constituents and signed HB 242 into law, creating the nation's first crime of so-called 'abortion trafficking.'"

"This legislation is despicable, and we're going to do everything in our power to stop it," the group announced, per the outlet.

So, there you have it.

Planned Parenthood comes out to officially support trafficking children across state lines to murder their own children without parental consent.

They wouldn't like that characterization, but that is, after all, what the bill does.

I assure Planned Parenthood and the ACLU will try to sue, but considering this law deals strictly with trafficking of minors, I don't think they'll have much success.

This is the first bill of its kind in the US, but other states probably need to follow Idaho's lead and outlaw the practice.
