Sisters Rachel Schmidtberger and Lindsey Denny both gave birth to a son on Tuesday, August 26 at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Despite doing everything together, from undergrad to medical school to both working as dermatologists at the same clinic, twins Rachel and Lindsey were shocked to discover that they were pregnant at the same time and shared the same due date.

One of the twins, Rachel, was already a mother to a little girl, while her sister, Lindsey, said that she had begun to give up on having a baby after struggling with infertility.

While both babies' due dates were set for September 1st, Rachel had an induction scheduled for August 26th. While she was laboring at the hospital as planned, her sister Lindsey was home babysitting Rachel's daughter, only to have her water break spontaneously.

(I hope they had a backup babysitter on standby!)

The twins shared the same doctor (of course), who moved around her schedule to be there for both deliveries, which ended up taking place about 12 hours apart.

The two boys, named Hayes and Owen, were given just a little more in common, as their moms chose to give them both the same middle name of Michael.

While they're technically cousins, the boys are genetically half-siblings, or "brother-cousins," as their moms call them.

I guess the shared birthday makes party planning easy!
