Independent developer Re-Imagined Games is in the process of re-making the 1985 classic "Super Mario Bros." with high-end graphics, using Unreal Engine 5, and a photo-realistic rendering of actor Chris Pratt as Mario.

Chris Pratt is the voice actor for Mario in Nintendo's Super Mario Bros: The Movie releasing April 7. Later updates to the game will feature more characters resembling their corresponding voice actors in the upcoming movie, including Charlie Day as Luigi, and Jack Black as Bowser.

Re-Imagined Games announced the project two months ago. The Canada-based developer reportedly has no prior experience in video game development.

"I am a digital artist, learning how to make video games," Re-Imagined Games' YouTube channel description reads.
