How does a ground-rule double end up in the dugout?

I think the announcer is correct here: This might be the shortest-hit error-free double in pro baseball history.

A ground-rule double involves a fair ball which isn't a home run making its way into the stands (or in this case, the dugout). This results in the batter and any baserunner advancing two bases. It usually happens when a fly ball is hit deep and then bounces over the fence, or when a fly ball is curving foul, stays fair, and then bounces over the side wall into the stands.

On this occasion, however, somehow a ground-rule double ended up bouncing off the pitcher's foot and into the dugout -- likely the shortest-hit errorless double in professional baseball history.
