I'm starting to get worried about the next generation

This Instagram mom decided to film and produce a reel that shows the awesome food hack of... keeping leftovers.

Yes, she calls this a hack.

  • First off, that's not mac n' cheese. That's cheapo shells and cheese. But I'll let that go. It's the least of this woman's issues.
  • Secondly, has this lady who is a grown woman never seen a Tupperware container in her life? She uses plastic cups, covers them in SARAN WRAP, and throws the leftover mac in the FREEZER for maximum freezer burn potential.

Why not use a freezer bag for max protection? Or how about being like a normal person and putting it in the fridge? Or use a cheap plastic container with a lid.

My mom has about 1,000 extra she can lend you.

The whole time I watched the video I was thinking "okay, where's the hack part? When is the hack coming?"

She warms it up in a microwave-safe bowl and splashes some water in.

That's the whole hack.

Then, in the end, she doesn't even eat it herself either. She makes her kid eat the frozen, dried out, rubbery, fake, warmed-in-the-microwave, leftover mac!

By the way, if you want a really simple hack for leftover stove-top mac n' cheese, I've got you:

Pour leftover mac into a small baking dish, mix in bacon bits, top with whatever shredded cheese you have on hand, mozz and cheddar are both good, add some bread crumbs if you're fancy, and stick that puppy in the oven at 350 for a few minutes until cheese on top looks melty and starts to crisp.
