More than two decades ago His Purpleness, Prince, gave this prescient warning to everyone about becoming obsessed with computers and the internet.

We need this wisdom now more than ever:

Don't be fooled by the internet. It's cool to get on the computer, but don't let the computer get on you.

It's cool, it's cool to use the computer. Don't let the computer use you. Y'all saw The Matrix.

There's a war going on. The battlefield's in the mind and the prize is the soul. So, just be careful.

Prince always had this other-worldliness about him. And his warning here could not be more important for today.

Use the computer, use the internet. But don't let it use you.

And if you feel like it's taking you over, it probably is. So just step back and take a break. Go and listen to some Prince.
