If you're wondering why all the warmongers in DC haven't started sending our sons and daughters to go die in Ukraine, I believe the reason is that we haven't had a country song about it yet.
With 9/11 and Iraq, country singers were writing ballads about American soldiers, the Twin Towers, and going off to war. Patriotism was at an all-time high!
But who in their right mind would write a country music song about the war in Ukraine?
Oh no...
The irony of Brad Paisley writing a song essentially encouraging war in Ukraine while using it to raise money for veterans already injured and traumatized by an unnecessary war is absolutely mind-boggling.
