We have been giving regular updates on our site to the story of Nancy Crampton Brophy.

And now, in the exciting conclusion to the real-life saga involving the author of "How To Murder Your Husband," Nancy Crampton Brophy has just been found guilty of murdering her husband.
I don't know who could have seen this one coming.
From the AP:
A jury in Portland has convicted a self-published romance novelist โ who once wrote an essay titled "How to Murder Your Husband" โ of fatally shooting her husband four years ago.
The jury of seven women and five men found Nancy Crampton Brophy, 71, guilty of second-degree murder Wednesday after deliberating over two days in chef Daniel Brophy's death, KOIN-TV reported.
Now Nancy can officially move her "How To Murder Your Husband" essay from the fiction section to the non-fiction section.
Crampton Brophy displayed no visible reaction Wednesday inside the crowded Multnomah County courtroom.
Lisa Maxfield, one of Crampton Brophy's attorneys, said the defense team plans to appeal.
The good news is, in this trial at least, the infamous essay was not allowed to be used as evidence, so it's unlikely that made any difference to the jury.
However, if there are appeals, you better believe we will continue to bring you the updates as soon as they come in.
