The Tippecanoe County Sheriff in Indiana just did the thing every parent, educator, and half-sane adult wished someone would do: outlawed the use of the words "six seven."
(1st Amendment advocates, don't worry: It was a joke.)
According to county ordinance 6-7,
It is now against the law to use the words six and seven unless using them in a math problem or someone's age.
Here's the sheriff explaining how he came up with the idea:
Unfortunately, much like the phrase "6-7," the tickets mean nothing and carry no legal weight whatsoever.
The playful initiative was designed as a way to โkeep parents sane during this time,' according to the sheriff's office.
Instead, they ended up just encouraging the kids to say the forbidden words even more.
(Take note, tyrants!)

In the end, I think we'll find the scholars at the Babylon Bee got it right on this one ๐
