Iran is days away from enough fissile material to start equipping nukes.
Oh, and in case you are actually surprised by murderous thugs acting like murderous thugs, they are specifically ignoring an agreement they made just a few weeks ago with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Basically, Iran destroyed surveillance cameras installed by the IAEA and has refused to replace them, even though they made the new agreement.
The agency said in a statement:
‘The (IAEA) Director General (Rafael Grossi) stresses that Iran's decision not to allow agency access to the TESA Karaj centrifuge component manufacturing workshop is contrary to the agreed terms of the joint statement issued on 12 September. …
Iran from 20–22 September permitted IAEA inspectors to service identified agency monitoring and surveillance equipment and to replace storage media at all necessary locations in Iran with the exception of the centrifuge component manufacturing workshop at the TESA Karaj complex.'
Why would the aforementioned thugs want those cameras to stay off?
Probably because they're days away from their decades-long goal of nuclear weapons:
Back at the start of August, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said that Iran was "only around 10 weeks away from acquiring weapons-grade materials necessary for a nuclear weapon."
On September 13th, The New York Times reported that Iran, according to the IAEA, "has come within roughly a month of having enough material to fuel a single nuclear weapon."
Despite the theories of leftists who believe criminals can be appeased through cash, fancy deals, and a desire to be a member of the "international community," this was always going to be the outcome.
Unless, I don't know, the world stops trying to appease the evil ayatollah-led regime.
There is one country (the first on Iran's hit list) that's likely to have the appropriate response to this madness:
What happens after that is anybody's guess, but man oh man I am not looking forward to it.
