Ireland's woke government replied to a Matt Walsh joke about the cultural appropriation of St. Paddy's Day because of course it did

Comedy may be dead and satire may be dying, but the rise of actual news that should be a joke just keeps on growing.

Conservative commentator Matt Walsh made the mistake of trying to joke about lefties' use of the term "cultural appropriation," pointing out the irony that such "appropriation" only happens when white people celebrate a culture and not the other way around:

Did you get it? If you're a normal human who enjoys a good laugh instead of screaming at the sky about the futility of existence, then you probably did!

The Irish government did not.

Walsh went on to "thank" the Irish government for its response:

Seriously, the government of a sovereign nation replied to a joke made by a guy on Twitter because they couldn't pass up the opportunity to get woke points.

The irony, as Walsh points out, is that the government's first statement about "cultural appreciation" not being "appropriation" is correct, but that it would be labelled racist if said about a non-white culture.

Example one of a million: this black student who told a white student he couldn't wear dreadlocks because of said aPprOpRiAtiOn.

Happy St. Paddy's Day, ya'll. Go drink a green beverage and preach the Gospel to some pagans!
