Sure, Lego lets you buy miniature Star Wars ships that you pretend to buy for your kids, but can it offer life-sized replicas with working cockpits??
That's what a group of Russian fans decided to build, making me consider moving to the former communist motherland for the first time in my freaking life.
Here's a picture of the "Razor Crest" starship from the hit Disney+ series The Mandalorian:
And here's the life-size model the Russians built for $10,000:
The ship is more than 45 feet long and 13 feet high and weighs over a ton. It was planted in a public park in Yakutsk, a Siberian city that is the coldest large population center on the planet.
It's not just a statue, either. The thing has a sculpted interior with a cockpit and a working control panel:
"All these elements are working," said fan Ayaal Fyodorov. "The engines can be turned on. There are no batteries now. We want to get the electricity here, but this part is freezing. "
Since many of us are salty about Disney's decision to cancel Gina Carano, a trip to see this beauty might be better than a trip to Disneyland.
