A 35-year-old Israeli resident near Jerusalem was arrested after a video of his dog behind the steering went viral.
To be fair, it looks like the dog handled the car pretty well.
If we can trust a Tesla running on autopilot to not to run over a kid, why can't we trust a dog sitting on the lap of a crazy man?
Oh yeah, that's right.
Jerusalem police said the man was charged with reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle without a current safety certificate.
A police statement said,
Those who carry out such acts endanger people's lives. We will continue to act to enforce serious traffic offenses and prosecute suspects who endanger road users with their actions.
The arrest status of the dog who was operating the vehicle at the time of the crime is unknown.
