In just a matter of hours Parler went from being the number 1 free app in Apple's App Store to being murked into digital oblivion. And Twitter's Jack Dorsey wouldn't have it any other way.
It's really nice to have options when it comes to social media. And people were making known their displeasure with Twitter's aggressive censorship by moving to alternative platforms like Parler. But as we all know Parler was savagely cornered by a Silicon Valley mob, beaten to death, and its body dumped into the San Francisco Bay.
And here's the Twitter CEO's not-so-subtle commentary on that action.
I expect Jack will be seeing that Tweet again, maybe printed out and pasted to a large poster-board, sitting on a courtroom easel at an antitrust hearing.
We'll see.
Oh, and this response from Dave Rubin deserves some kind of "Most Savage Tweet of 2021 So Far" award.
