Former Amazon kingpin Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez tied the knot this weekend in a Venice, Italy, wedding that reportedly cost somewhere between $46 million and $56 million.
If you're shocked by the price tag for Bezos's nuptials, at least you can take comfort in the fact that they were paid for, at least in part, by your wife's chronic Amazon habit.
The Hill provided some details about the guests who attended … and who did not.
President Trump was reportedly invited to the nuptials but did not attend.
You're a big deal, Bezos. But not that big.
As tends to be the case with these elite events, wealthy public figures flew almost a hundred private jets to the affair, wearing clothes that cost more than your annual salary, and taxiing from their luxury hotels to the wedding venue on fancy boats.

Most of these celebrities hardly know Mr. and Mrs. Bezos. They simply like expensive weddings in Italy.

Several local organizations have spoken out against the wedding, prompting protests in the days leading up to the celebration. Extinction Rebellion and Greenpeace were among the groups that have put on 'No Space for Bezos' protests in Venice.
Protestors unveiled a banner on Monday reading, 'If you can rent Venice for your wedding, you can pay more tax.'
Comrade Elizabeth Warren made sure to slip in a bit of communist advertising along those lines.
