Jen Psaki Says That It's "Unfair And Absurd" For Companies To Raise Prices When Their Taxes Go Up And Maybe This White House Needs To Retake Economics 101
· Sep 28, 2021 · NottheBee.com

Jen Psaki makes it a regular habit to say utterly ridiculous things in defense of the White House's laughably bad policies and proposals.

This time, Psaki has said what might be the most ridiculous and clownish thing to come out of this White House yet.

Jen Psaki is asked about a study on a new tax bill, and her response, that she completely volunteers on her own, is beyond laughable.

REPORTER: I want to ask you about what Republicans are pointing to in the analysis from the Joint Committee on Taxation. They say, according to — if I've read the chart correctly, more than 16 percent of taxpayers would see their taxes increase under the bill that's approved by the House Ways and Means Committee. Will the President sign that bill if — as if — it is coming out of that committee? Or will he insist on the changes so that he will maintain his commitment that taxes won't go up on people making $400,000 a year?

Jen Psaki: I have not looked at the document or the report that you have put out. Obviously, the President — or that you have referenced, I should say — that the Republicans put out.

Obviously, the President's commitment remains not raising taxes for anyone making less than $400,000 a year. There are some — and I'm not sure if this is the case in this report — who argue that, in the past, companies have passed on these costs to consumers. I'm not sure if that's the argument being made in this report. We feel that that's unfair and absurd, and the American people would not stand for that.

But I will take a closer look at this report and get you a more substantive response.

At this point it would be "unfair and absurd" to expect the Biden White House to be able to find a worse press secretary.

What in the world is she thinking? She just assumes the question with no info and makes a completely balloonheaded statement about it.

Yes, Psaki thinks that if the government takes more money from companies through higher taxes that it would be "unfair and absurd" for those companies to charge more for their products and goods to make up the costs.

What's her alternative

They'll just make the money magically appear?

Of course, the cost is passed on to consumers. That's how it has always worked.

Democrats really want you to believe that if they raise corporate taxes that it will have no impact on the average American.

If you ask me, that is "absurd".
