Bidenomics: Dollar Tree is charging $7 for items now but the media says it's a good thing actually ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Dollar stores are already having a rough go of it in Joe Biden's sparkling economy:

And things are not getting any better:

Last year, Dollar Tree announced it would raise prices above a dollar and add $3 and $5 price points in over 1,800 stores.

This year, customers could expect to pay even more, as the discount retail giant announced it will elevate its price cap and raise the highest price for specific items from $5 to $7.

Seven dollars. Seven. At the Dollar Tree.

Jacking the Dollar Tree ceiling up to $5 was bad enough. Now they're making it jump another nearly 50%.

All of this as Biden calls for huge tax increases and a massive $7.3 trillion government spending budget:

Higher taxes and higher prices โ€” even at the Dollar Store โ€” is, to say it mildly, not a good sign of things to come:

Here's the twist: The media has come out in force to tell us that this is actually a good thing because richer people being forced to shop at the dollar store is actually a good thing (don't think about it too much, they clearly didn't!):

People making over $100,000 are suddenly shopping at bottom-dollar stores to save money.

The media:

Dollar Tree, to its credit, is really trying to make us feel better about this whole thing:

Over time, you will also see us fully integrate multi-price merchandise more into our stores so our shoppers will find $5 bags of dog food next to our traditional $1.25 pet treats and toys, and our $3 bags of candy will be found in the candy aisle. This is the next exciting chapter of the Dollar Tree value story: new items, more choices, and more savings.

Thanks for at least giving it a shot, Dollar Tree.
