I got a bit of heartwarming celebrity news for you here.
The legendary Jon Bon Jovi was shooting a music video in Nashville on Wednesday when he noticed a woman on the edge of the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge who was ready to jump and end her life. He wasn't about to let this happen, and he sprung into action.
What.
A.
Guy.
The legendary rocker encountered the woman around 6 p.m. local time as he was filming a music video for his song 'People's House' on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge …
Bon Jovi then spoke to the woman with another bystander.
Shortly after, Bon Jovi and the fellow good samaritan helped pull the woman over the railing and away from danger.
After the woman was back on the pedestrian path, she and Bon Jovi hugged.
The bridge was open to the public while the music video was being shot, and the Nashville Fire Department, along with police, showed up to the scene shortly after Bon Jovi saved this woman's life.
Nashville PD chimed in:
Nothing new for Jon Bon Jovi here, as he's the founder of the JBJ Foundation, which "provide[s] pragmatic ways out of homelessness, poverty and hunger for families across the US."
As the organization's founder, he has been thoroughly trained in speaking to people who find themselves in crisis situations. He's also put that training to use in the real world, having worked with people in crisis, dealing [with] battles such as hunger and homelessness.
Jon Bon Jovi: A hero of Rock & Roll, and a hero in life.
