Poor Kamala.
After an embarrassing campaign and devastating loss to Donald Trump, Kamala Harris has reached out to Hillary Clinton several times for advice on coping with her devastating defeat, according to a report by New York Magazine.
In her final weeks as VP, as Harris heard unsolicited advice from donors, she reached out to some carefully selected allies to hear their thoughts, too. Among them was Hillary Clinton, the other would-be first woman president who lost to Trump and who also famously wrestled with how to manage life after her campaign.
According to the report, many believe Kamala's defeat was so humiliating she, like Clinton, will not seek office again.
Clinton landed on her feet though, with a gig at Columbia University as a professor of international and public affairs.
Considering Hillary's post-politics career, it seems Kamala might have a bright future selling a memoir no one will read, and maybe a job as an assistant professor at a community college.
Since November, Harris and Clinton have spoken on multiple occasions about their exceedingly rare shared experience and about how to think through the future; in December, Harris quietly slipped out of her official residence at the Naval Observatory in Washington and over to Clinton's home a few blocks away to chat and celebrate at a private reception for the former secretary of State after Biden awarded her the Medal of Freedom.
SO SAD! ๐
Bottoms up, Kamala!
