Kamala Harris explaining the Bible went exactly as well as you'd expect

There's nothing I love more than communists quoting the Bible to try and pander to people who dare to worship God, rather than equity.

Speaking at the African Methodist Episcopal General Conference earlier this week, Kamala Harris did just that ... and it went about as well as you'd expect.

WATCH:

"Organizing souls to the polls, making sure your members are registered and ready to vote," Harris said. "Because, of course, we all know that this is the most consequential election of our lifetime."

Amazing how every election is the most consequential election of our lifetime, isn't it?

After listing off a Marxist's shopping list, Harris then went on to quote the Gospel of Luke, saying faith has the power "to shine a light on those living in darkness and to guide our feet in the path of peace."

"In moments such as this, faith guides us forward. Faith in the promise of America. Freedom, opportunity, and justice. Not for some. But for all," she adds.

Except ... she cut a part out.

Here's the full passage, beginning with Luke 1:67, which describes a song of praise by the priest Zechariah after the miraculous conception and birth of his son, who would become John the Baptizer who later baptized Jesus.

His father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied:

'Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come to his people and redeemed them.

He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago), salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us โ€” to show mercy to our ancestors and to remember his holy covenant, the oath he swore to our father Abraham: to rescue us from the hand of our enemies, and to enable us to serve him without fear in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.

And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him, to give his people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.'

And the child grew and became strong in spirit; and he lived in the wilderness until he appeared publicly to Israel.

Not only does she cut out "and in the shadow of death," thereby completely altering the passage's meaning, she also ignores that passage is talking about rescuing Israel ... oops.

These days, you can't even look to politicians for insightful theology. Madness.
