Kamala Harris’s billion-dollar electric school bus program gave us … 60 buses.

THE WHEELS ON THE BUS GO ROUND AND ROUND!

Just two years ago, Harris and EPA administrator Michael Regan proudly announced a $1 billion giveaway (as part of a total of $5 billion for the EPA as part of the 2021 infrastructure bill) to 389 school districts for 2,463 electric buses. Today, according to the Washington Free Beacon, only 27 districts actually have a bus, amounting to just 60 buses, while over twice as many districts have pulled the plug.

Here she was touting the EV buses in 2022:

And again in 2023:

Shayla Powell from the EPA tells us, "Hey, transitioning takes time!"

But with three months left on the initial project timeline … it's hard to see how Harris is going to make 2,403 buses appear overnight.

(To be fair, she REALLY loves buses.)

Don't forget, this was part of the administration's green energy push, with Kamala Harris taking center stage calling it an "investment in our children, their health, and their education."

Oops.

Jeff Dicks, a superintendent in Iowa, explained why school districts are bailing on this plan faster than Pete Buttigieg after Joe Biden's polling numbers tanked.

"This only makes economic sense if the bus is paid for with a grant like we received," Dicks told the Free Beacon. "The cost is so prohibitive that the cost savings are not worth it."

These electric buses cost upwards of $370,000 each, which is three times the cost of a regular diesel bus…let alone the fact that the electric buses can't handle cold rural environments, or the fact that entire grid infrastructures need to be upgraded to handle the charging.

But don't worry: Kamala Harris had nothing to do with this!

She was too busy at the borderorganizing the Afghanistan withdrawal … being historic.
