A woman in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, got a Halloween surprise when she opened her delivery of medical supplies and found two human arms and four fingers packed on ice.
Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel told WSMV4:
I think would anybody this time of year would have said that'd be a hoax… but it wasn't.
The woman called 911 about the delivery, and the police called Daniel out to collect the cadaver pieces.
It turns out that the package was supposed to go to a medical training facility, but it wasn't delivered by one of the major carriers; it was sent by private courier.
‘There was [sic] three entities involved, and I think it's just a perfect storm and everybody might have a mistake,' Daniel said, ‘We get a lot of strange calls. It's just another strange call.'
The police confirmed that the mixup was sorted out eventually, and the woman got her medical supplies.
Which also means the medical training facility got their body parts for whatever experiments mad scientists use those sorts of things for these days.
