While most schools just celebrate the 100th day of school by having the students dress up as little old ladies and gentlemen, this year, Saint Thomas More School in Decatur, Georgia, had a very special guest attend the celebrations.
Kindergarten student, KJ Schmansky, brought her 100-year-old great-grandfather, Sonny Ragan, to class.
Watch:
He's looking pretty good for 100. At least he definitely pulls off the sweater vest and bald look better than his great-granddaughter, and she's only 5!
During the class, the kindergartners peppered the guest of honor with questions about his life, asking him if there were cars and grocery stores when he was a kid.
While I'm pretty sure those things did exist, Ragan told CBS News Atlanta,
It's been a big, big change for somebody who's 100 years old.
He's been especially able to see the change in Georgia, having lived in the Atlanta area for 97 of his 100 years of life.
Ragan told the young students that his secret to a long life is his faith and his family...including little KJ, adding that he hopes to live to 105 so he can continue to watch her grow up.
I'm not good with that many words, but she's the best. I tell you, I love her with all my heart, and I think she loves me the same way.
