Liberals are really struggling in the wake of Elon's takeover of Twitter. Let's help them find some "viable alternatives" to the site.

I tell you, it really hurts the heart to see this, truly it does:

Elon Musk's conquest of the Twitter-verse has sent hordes of mostly left-leaning tweeters scrambling — if not for the exits, then at least for a social-media backup plan.

Twitter's defectors and discontents set out in waves, searching for viable alternatives. The first broke in April, when Twitter accepted Musk's $44-billion bid for the social media company. The second rolled out in October, when he completed the purchase. ...

Some of Twitter's disaffected have closed their accounts. Many more have kept their Twitter handles while adopting new ones on other sites, thronging the virtual gates of previously unheralded platforms Mastodon, Hive and Post.

It's just so sad: Internet progressives, now digitally homeless, wandering cyberspace, without a place to lay their heads.

No, doggone it, I won't stand for this! It's not right!

We must help these lost souls find new purchase in this turbulent social media world. Doggone it, I'm going to start right now! What about...

Myspace?

Hey, MySpace was all the rage back in the day, right? It's probably still cool!

Hmm, actually it looks like it's morphed into some weird kind of alt-music service where a bunch of stuff doesn't even load properly. So...I guess that's out.

AOL Instant Messenger?

That could be fun, right? Remember "buddy lists" and "away messages" and all that stuff? I bet liberals would love it there!

Oh yeah, I forgot. They closed that down almost exactly five years ago to the day. So I guess that's out too.

The Palace?

Yeah, the Palace! That really weird graphical chat program from the late 1990s with all the smiley faces and weird avatars?

What? Nobody else remembers that? I can't be the only one who was on there. Well, heck, I guess that's a dead end as well. Man this is tough.

Yahoo?

Yahoo's still up, right? They still do the things with the, you know, message boards or something? Or chat rooms? I'm not sure.

Yeah let's just call it Yahoo. Liberals, you can check out Yahoo if you're so worked up about Elon Musk owning Twitter!

If you have any more suggestions for our beleaguered left-wing friends, please list them below!
