Live in Chicago? Need a break from the violence on the streets? Why not treat yourself to this delectable $350 PB&J sandwich?

Destroying all of Western Civilization can really make a guy hungry. After all, it takes a lot of energy to usher in a glorious revolution for a new dawn of man.

After an exhausting day of looting, pillaging, and posing for CNN interviews, an intrepid revolutionary might want to treat themselves to something truly special.

Well, look no further than a fine establishment in Chicago's West Loop offering the most exquisite PB&J the world has ever seen.

Most revolutionaries are intimately familiar with this staple of American cuisine (many still have one prepared daily by their mothers, who make sure their little Trotskys have a nutritious snack and a heartfelt note to strengthen them in their struggle against the bourgeoisie!). The literally named "Pizza Beer Jukebox" restaurant in Chicago, however, has put some special touches on their $350 sandwich that will make crushing capitalists, police, and whiteness feel that much more special.

The wonderful "Golden Goose" PB&J includes a laundry list of unique and exquisite ingredients:

  • Maison Dutriez's Red Currant Jam: This French jelly is deseeded by hand, with workers using goose quills to remove the seeds. The process was first recorded in 1344 by monks in the town of Bar-le-Duc and was used by nobility for centuries as a luxury food item.
  • Toasted Edible Gold Leaf Bread: The restaurant mixes the gold leaf into dough and bakes it fresh, ensuring your intestines enjoy a truly "upper crust" experience.
  • New Zealand Manuka Honey: One of the most expensive in the world ($5-10 per ounce), this honey is made by bees using the nectar of the native manuka tree and is touted for its high content of methylglyoxal, an anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial compound. It has enough of the compound to be classified as medical grade in certain countries, even being approved as a dressing for wounds.
  • Adams All Natural Peanut Butter: If there's one ingredient that could use a bit more class, it's this one. While Adams peanut butter has great ratings, you can get a jar for just $6 at Walmart. Lame!

Restaurant co-owner Matthew McCahill explains where he got the idea for this wonderful concoction:

"The inspiration actually comes from when I was a child and we grew up very poor and we were eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and then just peanut butter sandwiches, and then just peanut butter," said McCahill. "As I researched to find who had the most expensive PB&J, there was a restaurant in California that is now closed and has been for years and all they did was take a gold toothpick."

One thing to note, however, is that you need to order the sandwich one day in advance. So, before you go toppling statues of George Washington and start burning American flags, make sure to pull out that iPhone your dad bought you, call the restaurant, and thank God you live in a nation where you can pay $350 for one of the simplest foods known to man!
