Plus-sized rapper Lizzo is campaigning for Kamala, and in a recent speech, she said, "if Kamala wins, the whole country will look like Detroit."

After Lizzo issued this terrifying and ominous threat, the internet blasted her:

Lizzo was apparently responding to Trump, who made this statement a few weeks ago:

"The whole country is going to be like, you want to know the truth? It'll be like Detroit. Our whole country will end up being like Detroit if she's your president. You're going to have a mess on your hands."

Lizzo responded by doubling down, suggesting that America becoming Detroit would be a good thing: "I say proud like Detroit. Resilient like Detroit. This is the same Detroit that innovated the auto industry and the music industry, so you put some respect on Detroit's name."

America becoming Detroit would not, in fact, be a good thing.
