Logan Act Anyone?? Former Obama Official Ben Rhodes Says Biden is ALREADY Having Phone Calls with Foreign Leaders
· Nov 11, 2020 · NottheBee.com

Nothing to see here, just an admission by the former Deputy National Security Advisor in the Obama administration casually mentioning in an interview that Joe Biden is actively violating the Logan Act by contacting foreign leaders about policy issues before taking office.

But Biden is a democrat, so we probably won't hear about this every day for the next 4 years from the moral betters in the legacy media. Because reasons.

Now I know what you are going to say, the Logan Act isn't a really big issue, it has almost never been enforced, and doesn't have a huge impact on policy, and it may even be unconstitutional. These things might all be true, but try telling that to Michael Flynn.

You'll remember that a violation of the Logan Act was the pretense used to "investigate" Michael Flynn. And by "investigate" I mean set up a perjury trap so the FBI could charge a Trump official with a crime and fuel a Russian collusion hoax that cast a shadow over an entire administration.

The hypocrisy of openly talking about what could be a Logan Act violation currently being made by Biden is that, as we learned earlier this year, the entire Logan Act charge against Flynn was offered as an idea to undermine the Trump administration by none other than Joseph Robinette Biden.

From Politico:

Strzok's notes indicate that Biden mentioned the Logan Act — a mostly defunct 18th-century law that criminalizes efforts by private citizens to conduct U.S. foreign policy. The FBI internally discussed using the Logan Act as a basis for its decision to interview Flynn a few weeks later as it investigated his contacts with Russia's ambassador to the United States. Ultimately, FBI and DOJ officials said the interview was conducted as part of the FBI's counterintelligence investigation of contacts between the Trump campaign and Russia... Biden has previously acknowledged being present in the Oval Office during the discussion of the Flynn matter and indicated he was broadly aware of the FBI investigation. "But that's all I know about it. I don't think anything else," Biden said.

Of course, Biden conveniently doesn't recall talking about the Logan Act, but it would definitely appear that it was his idea to try to charge General Flynn with violating the Logan Act.

And now things come full circle. Here we have a credible admission of an actual violation of the Logan Act by the incoming president. I am certain that the principled Democratic Party will be investigating and bringing forward impeachment articles as soon as they can. It's the only consistent and fair thing to do.

But I am not holding my breath.
