Louisville police release name of new recruit who was critically injured while running to protect civilians from gunman

This is the type of man you want on your police force.

Five people were killed and 9 injured (including 2 officers) when a man opened fire in Old National Bank in downtown Louisville. Reports say he opened fire in a board room.

The shooter, whose name we will not publish because we don't honor deranged maniacs here, posted a series of messages to his Instagram (which has now been deleted) leading up to the shooting.

The shooter was reportedly an employee of the bank in Louisville and held far-left views according to his social media, including activity on subreddits like "F*** The Alt Right," where he posted anti-Trump memes.

It will be interesting to see how quickly the media makes this story disappear given this man's political beliefs.

Even if it does, and this is merely used as another soundbite for gun control by those like Joe Biden, our wonderful divider-in-chief...

I'm glad there are guys like Nickolas Wilt out there who will protect life at the potential loss of their own. Men like him are the real story.
