Not long ago we wrote about pancake spaghetti, which is pancake batter poured on a griddle in strips then piled up like noodles and covered in syrup. This viral culinary treat was ruled "good."

But now, Cup Noodles is trying to play on that trend with ramen noodles artificially flavored like pancake, sausage, and maple syrup.

Now look. I occasionally eat Ramen noodles.

Heck, I've even eaten ramen noodles for breakfast — whenever I visited my Filipino aunt, their family regularly vacillated between Ramen or fried rice as their breakfast of choice.

However, it was always just regular Ramen with the salty little seasoning packets, and that deliciously unhealthy amount of sodium stirred into a greasy fried noodle broth — that's sacrosanct, people!

Why are they messing with a good thing?

At some point, we need to draw a line and say, "the frankenfoods have got to stop!"
