A Hawaii man was alleged to have been smuggling fentanyl from San Fran to Hawaii, so when it was time to go to court in Cali, he allegedly decided it would be a good idea to show up with a few bags of fentanyl on him.

In typical drug-dealer fashion, Arakaki told authorities that he forgot he had the drugs on him.

Hard to tell what made him lose his memory of this!

From the above article:

He was arrested at the courthouse for bringing contraband to jail and committing a felony while on bail, among other charges, according to sheriff's records. He is being held on $20,000 bail and is set to return to court Tuesday, officials said.

If you want an idea for how potent fentanyl is, look no further than the officer who discovered the drugs. He had to receive medical attention after experiencing heart palpitations and lightheadedness.

Our guy, Joey, was originally arrested back on November 24 after falling asleep in his car. Police found 2.7 pounds of fentanyl in his car amongst other drugs and 500 plastic baggies. He admitted to police that he was going to attempt to distribute the fentanyl in Honolulu.

Fortunately, those 2.7 pounds of fentanyl will never reach Hawaii.
