This story is so big that it doesn't fit entirely in the preview below 👇

Benjamin is a big guy. He thinks we should have "healthcare for all," which means "we all pay for Benjamin's bad life choices when his morbid obesity catches up to him"!

Here's the statement:

He's upset that people are calling him out for his extreme weight, calling it a "smear tactic."

Even Michael Klump could tell Benny here to lay off the snacks.

This line from his statement is perfect:

All it does is reiterate the fact that I've struggled with my weight ... and showcases cruelty and hypocrisy of people that make fun of people they see as 'other.'

"Struggled with my weight" means you have trouble losing a few extra pounds. This is not "struggle with my weight." This is "I have a chronic eating disorder that shows a significant deficit of control, reason, and character.

The trolls harassing Benjamin out of a mean spirit might have just as much of a character deficit, but that doesn't mean voters can't legitimately question if a guy the size of a small whale is the best leader to represent them in politics.

Why do we scrutinize politicians for having addictions to alcohol, gambling, or affairs, but not food?

Benjamin doesn't seem to want voters to ask that question. He has, by all appearances, single-handedly eaten enough high fructose corn syrup to keep Iowa farmers in business for a decade, but he paints himself as the victim.

He should have just leaned into the joke!

In all honesty, I hope he does run. Run for his health, that is!
