Okay, here's a story that's got "Indiana" written all over it:
Somebody get these people their Indiana Couple of the Year Award!
So it looks like Donald Rickets was out driving drunk on Highway 165, headed north, when he crossed over to the wrong side of the road and crashed into a tractor trailer. His car was wrecked, so he did what any smart married man in his situation would do: he called his wife.
After the collision, which was a short distance from Ricketts' home, Ricketts allegedly contacted his wife to pick him up at the crash site.
No?? You wouldn't call your wife to come pick you up if you just got in a DUI accident with a semi?
Well then you, sir, are a normal person.
The story gets worse:
Moments later, before police arrived, Cheral Ricketts, 55, crashed her car into her husband's vehicle, which was still in the roadway from the previous crash. Both Ricketts' vehicles were totaled.
WOOOOOOOOOOOWWWW!!!!
Turns out Cheral was drunk as well. Sad.
Cheral blew a 0.22, while her husband blew 0.28.
Which means they were both pretty tanked.
Little advice people: don't drink and drive.
Note - the driver of the semi was unharmed.
