Sometimes problems lead to genius examples of intelligence that provide solutions. Other times, problems can be solved by doing the exact opposite of anything remotely intelligent.
The latter was on full display in North Carolina, as a man decided the best way to get rid of a black bear lingering in his yard was to put on a bear costume and dance around in it.
Sounds like a plan. A really dumb and dangerous plan, but a plan nonetheless.
According to The New York Post, the man resorted to bear cosplay due to the real bear persistently wandering near his home.
Video footage captured a man in Asheville, bravely approaching a ferocious-looking black bear in his own brown bear costume that more closely resembled a college mascot.
The man emerges from the side, attempting a mock prowl while slowly approaching the wild animal.
With caution thrown into the wind, the costumed man kept inching forward bit by bit, even growling at the black bear.
Yes, he apparently growled. At the bear. While dressed like a bear.
Fortunately for the man, the plan worked, and the confused bear — frightened by either the man's dance moves or the fact that this psychopath was walking toward him wearing a bear suit — eventually scampered off.
Just wait until the bear shows back up dressed like a human to get revenge.
