While Republicans can't agree on much these days, one thing almost everyone outside of DC knows is that squishy Californian Kevin McCarthy should NOT be Speaker of the House and leader of the Republicans.
Now, finally, an actual conservative is going to challenge McCarthy for leadership.
Here's some of what Biggs wrote in his announcement on the Daily Caller:
It is time. It is time for new leadership of the U.S. House of Representatives.
People are thrilled that Speaker Nancy Pelosi's reign of Leftist extremism is ending. The question is whether we will be treated to the status quo that will move us along the same path, though perhaps more slowly.
Will we elect an establishment Republican as the speaker — think Paul Ryan, or in this case, Ryan's right-hand man, Kevin McCarthy.
Republicans seem to be completely fine allowing the RINOs to continue to lead the party when your average Republican loathes McCarthy and his squishy politics.
Biggs would bring ACTUAL conservative leadership to DC.
A lot of people say the GOP has to choose McCarthy or else the Dems will form a coalition to pick an even squisher squish for Speaker.
