Meet Dexter, the three-legged pup who taught himself how to walk like a human

Okay, this is a pretty cool story right here.

My new favorite dog, Dexter, was adopted by the Pasek Family back in 2015. Everything was going fine until one day, just before his first birthday, Dexter escaped the family's yard and was struck by a vehicle. Dexter's front legs were badly injured, so the Pasek Family transported him to the nearest vet, which happened to be an entire hour's drive away.

The family was informed that Dexter would need his front right paw removed, and that the left could be saved, but wouldn't be all that functionable. The vet did some amazing work, and Dexter was back home in a few days with a new wheelchair.

Poor little guy!

Eventually, Dexter made it out of the wheelchair, and the Paseks would have to find a way to get him moving around without it.

Dexter, however, was a few steps ahead of them, and he used the skills he'd learned in the wheelchair to pop himself right up on his hind legs and walk around just like you or I would.

And Dexter has been walking around like this ever since, turning heads wherever he goes!

In the process, he's become a local celebrity in his small mountain town of Ouray, Colorado.

What's more, Dexter's become an inspiration for thousands of people across the globe, and he has over 160,000 followers on Instagram! People even visit the small town just so they can catch a glimpse of our new favorite doggy.

It's the most inspiring story I've come across in a while.

People, if Dexter can do it, so can you!

So get out there and make your dreams come true!
