Michelle Obama failed at curing childhood obesity but she's launched a "food and drink company" so she can do it all over again
· May 5, 2023 · NottheBee.com

Remember when Michelle Obama launched this whole big government-led effort to try and roll back the tsunami of childhood obesity sweeping the nation, and she pretty much entirely failed at it, tons of kids are still fat, and nothing's changed?

Well, at least give the former First Lady credit for refusing to back down!

Former first lady Michelle Obama has co-founded the food and drink company PLEZi, designed to provide healthy options for kids, she announced Wednesday.

"PLEZi," eh? I'll be honest, that sounds like one of those fake Chinese brands that dominate the top search results on Amazon. Not exactly the most appealing company name in the world.

So what's the company about, anyway? Well, according to their website:

We're hoping not just to provide healthy and delicious drinks and snacks for kids, but to jumpstart a race to the top that will transform the entire food industry.

Uh huh. And how do they plan to do this? Well, it looks like the company is out the gate with a line of fruit drinks, along the lines of:

Yeeaah. I hate to be a downer here, but: Do we really think this is going to "transform the entire food industry"?

This just looks kinda like a normal vaguely health-oriented fruit drink. Nothing bad, but nothing special. "No added sugar," some fiber thrown in there, the standard rap.

Is the sort of thing that is gonna "jumpstart a race to the top"?

Best of luck again, Mrs. Obama!
