This is what gets you destroyed in Michigan politics, apparently.
Welp, I'm a Michigander, and I'm not offended by this meme in the least. As the kids say: BASED.
Why would I be offended? Leftists have been bragging about making the nation less white and Christian for decades. Every Fortune 500 company, including the airlines, are pushing for it. Every public college in America is pushing for it. Hollywood now has quotas that exclude artists who don't conform to it from awards.
Now we're shuttling in tens of millions of migrants to that end!
I guess I'm just racist for ... [checks notes] ... noticing?
Rep. Josh Shriver certainly is, according to the media and Michigan Democrats (but I repeat myself).
State Rep. Josh Schriver, R-Oxford, lost his staff and his spot on a legislative committee as punishment for sharing a social media post amplifying a racist conspiracy theory.
House Speaker Joe Tate, D-Detroit, announced Monday his decision to reassign Schriver's staff and remove him from the House Natural Resources, Environment, Tourism, and Outdoor Recreation Committee. Additionally, resources typically made available to representatives will be held from Schriver by the House Business Office, according to the news release from Tate's office.
I'm confused.
Conspiracy theories are ideas about associations of conspirators that are pushing to implement some plan, but they are called theories because there is no solid evidence.
In the case of "Great Replacement," it's just a fact.
Back to the Detroit Free Press:
The conspiracy theory asserts that there is a coordinated and clandestine effort to replace white populations in majority-white countries, and has been described as racist and a 'paranoid narrative,' by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
The extremely far-left SPLC is your source?
Here's our current president back when he could string a sentence together. Notice how he is sitting next to Mayorkas, our current Secretary of Homeland Security, who is allowing millions of illegal-entry foreigners into the homeland.
That's a source of our strength.
So less white people = More strength. Got it.
The Left won't phrase it that way, of course. They say that "diversity" is important, but "diversity" to them means "everyone looking different and believing exactly what we tell them." It doesn't reflect true diversity with a marketplace of ideas. It's shallow. They want to replace Christianity with anything else, "whiteness" with "blackness," and anything deemed "Eurocentric" with "multiculturalism."
In the end, without some sort of order to hold it together, the whole experiment will become a pressure cooker of old ethnic tensions, as Europe is already seeing, because it turns out that too much diversity actually causes all societal cohesion to fall apart and crime/war to become the norm.
Jack Poso's meme is clearly conveying this reality with a low-information meme. The guy pops up on my feed hourly. I don't agree with him all the time, but he's not saying white people are superior. He's not saying black people are evil. What he is saying is that there is a sustained, coordinated effort to diminish anything associated with the "white" Christian West, including celebrating the making of our communities less white.
And it just so happens that a GOP rep in Michigan retweeted this very baseline conservative observation.
After all, how is it a theory when everyone is admitting the conspiracy?
There are actual racists out there in the comments. There are people who think America or Europe should just be for white people and that different ethnicities and cultures shouldn't ever mix. These "kinists" should be rejected (sorry, not sorry, ya racists!), but that's not what the vast majority of us are talking about when we note these MAINSTREAM efforts to replace American/European civilization, or Christianity, or "whiteness."
The white libs like Joe Biden want to do it because they believe secular pluralism and duhmacracy are the way, the truth, and the life, and they love bragging about living in a town where there are different ethnic food fusions available at multiple restaurants. The neo-Marxists want to do it because they need to tear down Christian values and national identity in order to enact a class revolt. The Muslims want to do it because they've been focused for 1600 years on overthrowing Christianity.
It's not a conspiracy theory. It's just a conspiracy. But if you notice it, you get destroyed!
The post drew sharp rebukes and condemnation from leading Democratic figures in Michigan, including Tate, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist II, and other Democratic lawmakers. At least two Republican lawmakers also blasted the post.
Ah, the GOP: Always quick to turn on its own to impress the Dems!
Tens of millions of GOP voters believe the meme, and tens of millions of Democrat voters would celebrate it, even if quietly. Which makes me wonder: Why the public circus show?
I just can't put my finger on why they targeted Schriver specifically.
Can you?
