Microsoft CEO gets "Microslop" trending after asking people to stop criticizing A.I.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella published a blog post laying out his future vision for Microsoft for 2026.

Needless to say, it was all about A.I.

In particular, he addressed the fact that A.I. has proven largely unprofitable for 95% of companies that have tried to integrate it and replace their human workers with it.

Nadella seemed somewhat upset that the internet has settled on the term "slop" for the hallucinations (AKA completely made up and wrong results) produced by A.I.

We need to get beyond the arguments of slop vs sophistication and develop a new equilibrium in terms of our β€˜theory of the mind' that accounts for humans being equipped with these new cognitive amplifier tools as we relate to each other.

Cognitive Amplifier Tools?

All we want is for the old tools to work again!

Look at how unusable Microsoft's integrated search function has become:

Don't even get me started on what they just did to Office!

In a bit of Barbra Streisand Effect, the internet responded to Nadella by rebranding Microsoft as "Microslop."
