Minnesota is changing their state flag because it has a Native American on it, and that makes it racist.
(Erasing Native Americans from history is anti-racist, I'm told!)
Seriously, that's their reasoning for this.
The decision to re-design the state flag comes after some have complained that the flag and state seal are offensive to Native Americans in the state. The current flag depicts a man plowing his field as a Native American rides away on horseback.
Even worse, here's one of the flags they've selected to potentially replace it:
Yup, Ilhan Omar is from Puntland, by the way.
Here, also, is the Jubaland flag — also in Somalia.
Not gonna call the proposed Minnesota flag a spitting image of those, but I mean, it's right there for you to see.
Also, look at the little pipsqueak who designed the flag and you'll have a bit more context:

Minnesota is home to more Somalians than any other U.S. state (over 80,000), and with this flag change it's easy to see how much of an impact that population is having.
Minnesota's witnessing a takeover of their state from the inside, and you can argue with me all day about that, but it's the truth!
