Montreal traffic signs were hacked by the mostly-peaceful types to display "Globalize the Intifada"

Nice to see the tolerant left calling for global jihad.

Electronic boards at two Montreal construction sites were hacked. The signs were changed to show messages like "Free Palestine," "Escalate Now," and "Globalize the Intifada."

The City of Montreal called it an act of vandalism, and Montreal police are now investigating the incident.

Quebec vice-president of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, Eta Yudin, say the messages incite violence against Jews.

Yudin's organization is asking the police to put in measures to prevent something like this from happening again. She said "hijacking" signs meant for driver safety with political messages "raises huge alarm bells about what these people are willing to do."

According to the City of Montreal, the signs belong to a private contractor hired by the city, so it's the contractor's responsibility. City spokesperson Gonzalo Nunez said the padlocks on the signs were broken, and someone was able to change the messages.

A group called Clash MTL and Palestine Action Montreal claimed responsibility on Instagram. In their post, they wrote that they "diverted road signs" in the middle of the night to show "solidarity with Palestine."

A tip to those anti-Israel protesters: Hijacking anything is not a good look, but maybe don't call for global holy war if you do?
