Becca and Lavareis Bryant of Auburn, Alabama, were already parents to three little ones when they discovered during a routine ultrasound that their fourth baby was actually four more babies.

Their quadruplets were born just a few months later, at only 23 weeks 4 days gestation on May 31, 2024.

The four babies, two boys and two girls, recently celebrated their first birthday by being named the Guinness World Records title holders for the most premature quadruplets.

The babies arrived via emergency c-section, and the birth was attended by 30 doctors, nurses, and respiratory therapists who were on hand to provide emergency care to all 5 patients.

Mom, Becca Bryant, told UAB Medical Center,

There were so many times we were so close to losing one of them. But I kept saying ‘We came in with four, and we're taking four home.' We were going to do whatever it took to get there.

Thanks to the care of loving parents and dedicated medical staff, the babies were finally able to go home after close to six months in the NICU. It was only later that their doctor informed them that, according to his research, their babies might just be world record holders.

Becca went on to say,

Hearing our babies were the most premature quads put into perspective how lucky we were that all of them made it. We had our family and friends, as well as the UAB team, there the whole way. Fighting for our babies, fighting for our family.

And on their first birthday, they received confirmation that they were indeed Guinness World Record holders.

These babies are truly a medical miracle!
