The religion of peace.

The Telegraph put the massacre in context:
Sudan has been engulfed in yet another war since 2023, with Islamic rebels seeking to overthrow the government. The city of El Fasher, with a population around 250,000, was the government's last stronghold.
After more than a year of siege, the city finally fell this week, allowing rebels to kill and pillage as they pleased. Nearly 500 victims were in the city's last functioning hospital.
The rebels, led by a man named Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, are called the "Rapid Support Forces" (RSF) because they were founded in 2013 by the Sudanese government to root out other insurgents in Darfur.
Ironically, the RSF claims is it the moderate option, noting that former president Omar al-Bashir was linked to the Muslim Brotherhood and other jihadi terror groups. While Muslim, the RSF is more concerned about upholding Arab identity and supremacy.
In 2019, the Sudanese Armed Forces ended Omar al-Bashir's 30-year rule, leading to a military junta overseen by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan. In 2023, the RSF then turned against the Sudanese Armed Forces with more than 100,000 soldiers and quickly began taking territory.
Franklin Graham, the son of Billy Graham and CEO of Samaritan's Purse, was one of many who put out a statement on Thursday to warn the world of what is happening in Sudan.
When Graham says this is "radical Islam," it's worth noting, again, that the RSF bills itself as anti-extremist. Draw your own conclusions from there.
Curiously, leftwing activists who abhor genocide have been strangely silent about the 150,000 people who have been killed in Sudan over the past two years, or the 14 million who have been displaced from their homes.
Millions of children are at risk of death by starvation.
To make matters worse, like all new conflicts in the age of A.I., fake photos and videos are circulating, making it harder to determine what is real and what is false. Consider this A.I.-generated photo being shared by activists and politicians alike.
Here's one more video from the Associated Press for additional information:
In 2011, the Christian-majority nation of South Sudan officially split away from Sudan, which has been in a near-state of civil war since it declared independence from Great Britain in 1959.
